Darren Taylor is an Associate in the NB Employment Law team, bringing a broad background in Employment Law, Workers Compensation, and Litigation. Darren holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, equipping him with strong theoretical knowledge to complement his practical experience.
Darren advises clients on a wide spectrum of Employment Law issues, including unfair dismissals, general protections, managing injured and ill employees, anti-discrimination and sexual harassment complaints and investigations, disciplinary actions, and assistance with drafting enterprise agreements and associated negotiations. His expertise also extends to union right of entry, and general drafting of appropriate policy and procedures and contracts of employment.
Before joining NB Employment Law (formerly NB Lawyers), Darren worked for law firms that provided employment law advice directly to employers in the chamber movement in Queensland. He was also employed with the Workers’ Compensation Regulator in Queensland. In these roles, Darren regularly presented Employment Law Sessions at Chamber Roadshows across Queensland and provided training to employers and their staff.
This wealth of experience positions Darren well to advise clients on the traps and pitfalls associated with Employment and Industrial law. He is passionate about offering advice that is both practical and instructive, ensuring his clients are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the legal landscape.
