Main duties will include:
- Provide Immigration/Migration legal advice and assistance
- Ensure files are managed appropriately
- Draft legal submissions for applications and appeals
- Appear in courts and tribunals, when needed
- Keep file notes and evidence on files
- Ensure timely and positive contact with clients
- Ensure budgetary requirements are met from month to month
- Manage a legal team (desirable)
The successful candidate must possess the following:
- Unwavering commitment to providing exceptional client service
- Migration Law experience (2 + years)
- Experience working with migrants
- Experience liaising with tribunals
- Very good skills in database management and software programs, including advanced skills in “Migration Agent” program functionalities, processes and procedures
- Strong knowledge of all visa types and eligibility
- Ability to form strong working relationships with clients
- Exceptional ability to work harmoniously with team members
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within the team and the firm
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
- Maintain a high quality of work
- Highly motivated and target driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
