36 new occupations will be added to the Medium and Long-Term Skill List, with 30 of them being available to all skilled worker visa subclasses.
The additions to the list were made following labour market advice from the Department of Jobs and Small Business. As Immigration, Citizenship, and Multicultural Affairs Minister David Coleman states the additions are a part of the Government’s initiative to “…focus the Migration Program on addressing skills gaps in the economy…”
