Immigration swoops on Perth visa overstayers
Arrangements are being made for the removal of 17 visa overstayers detained in a series of immigration compliance operations in Perth.
Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash said this served as a warning that visa overstayers and illegal workers would be detained and removed from Australia as quickly as possible
“Australia will not tolerate people ignoring their immigration obligations or employers using illegal workers,” she said.
The 17 people were located in three separate locations north of Perth.
