Jonathan S. Flannery

Jonathan is a senior migration lawyer at NB Migration Law.  He holds a B.Sc.(Biochemistry) and LL.B (UNSW).  He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court NSW and High Court of Australia in 1983, and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1989.  He obtained Migration Law Studies with Honours (Bond Uni) in 1999, and he is a past President or Vice-President and Life Member of the Gold Coast Community Legal Centre, serving from 1993 to 2018.  

Jonathan comes from an extremely culturally diverse family and is passionate about helping to change his client’s lives for the better.  He has a strong history in community welfare, human rights, and engagement with vulnerable persons.  

Jonathan was a Nominee for Gold Coast Citizen of the Year in 2015 and is a past Board member of Triathlon Queensland.  His other interests include ceramic art design and writing.  Sporting interests include mountain trail running, triathlon, athletics, rugby union and cricket.  He is a qualified pilot.
